Join us for a hike through a landscape where nature and history meet!
The walk begins up the gravel road toward Ryds Grottor, where a far-reaching panoramic view awaits – a reward well worth the effort. Along the way, we encounter impressive diabase columns and fascinating formations that tell the story of the area’s geological history.
Below, at Ryds Ängar, we explore clear traces of an old agricultural landscape shaped by human activity. Remains of past farming can still be seen here in the form of clearance cairns, and sunken lanes created by people and horses wind through the area.
During the walk, we take a break to brew coffee over an open fire – a perfect moment to enjoy the tranquility of nature.
The hike is approximately 4 km long and follows trails. The climb up the mountain is fairly long and in some sections a bit steep.
Estimated duration is about 3 hours.
Wear durable clothing and good walking shoes.
