Experience Ryd´s Meadows at its most beautiful by joining a guided hike.
Ryd’s Meadows are beautifully situated on the eastern slope of Billingen, and in May hundreds of cherry trees bloom across the landscape.
In the rolling scenery, there are many traces of Billingen’s long history. Flowering meadows, clearance cairns, and sunken lanes are the result of the people who once lived in the area.
The hike offers fascinating stories about the site’s natural environment and about life here for the last farmers in the area. If the weather allows, we will finish the walk with a cup of freshly brewed coffee by the fire.
The walk is approximately 4 km long and follows trails in gently sloping terrain.
Estimated time is about 3 hours
