Solve the Seamstress’s Mystery in Lidköping! At several museums in Skaraborg, you can purchase a mystery box containing various clues that guide you through an exciting historical adventure in different city settings.
In the early 1900s, seamstress Mathilda Johansson has been offered a new job at the Royal Court in Stockholm. In the days before leaving her hometown of Lidköping, she visits the public bathhouse to prepare for her great adventure. The next morning, Mathilda realizes that her most treasured piece of jewelry is missing! Could she have left it at the bathhouse? Now she needs help to recover it. Will you help her find it?
The mystery boxes include a map, envelopes, small boxes, and a number of puzzles that must be solved to progress. Each adventure begins at the respective museum and ends at a locked box somewhere in the city. Every museum’s story is based on a historical event, myth, person, or riddle.
The challenges are unique and suitable for children aged eight to fourteen. When you purchase your first box, you receive a stamp card where you can collect stamps from participating museums. Once completed, you can submit the card at one of the museums and receive a small gift.
The mystery starts at the Vänermuseet and ends in central Lidköping.
